Helping people understand what is possible on a property.

I am Avi Kaufman, co-founder of FutureLot. My background includes years in real estate brokerage, housing analysis, and technology, and my work today focuses primarily on housing, zoning, and property feasibility tools.

Building FutureLot

I currently focus all of my time on FutureLot, a platform that helps builders, housing professionals, and property owners evaluate what may be possible on a specific lot, using zoning rules, site constraints, maps, and property-specific data.

From zoning research to practical feasibility.

Zoning research is often slow, inconsistent, and difficult to apply to a real property. FutureLot turns that early research into a clearer starting point, helping teams identify opportunities, constraints, and next steps before spending time and money on deeper feasibility work.

Example project

Massachusetts ADU Resource Center

One example of FutureLot’s public-sector partnership work is the ADU Wizard for the Massachusetts ADU Resource Center, a statewide resource that helps Massachusetts homeowners better understand accessory dwelling unit opportunities and zoning considerations.

A background in real estate and housing analysis.

Years working in real estate gave me a practical view into how buyers, sellers, builders, and homeowners make decisions. That experience helped shape the problem FutureLot is built to solve: understanding what a property is, what constraints apply to it, and what may be possible next.

Past brokerage work

I previously worked extensively with buyers and sellers in Greater Boston through Accent Realty. While I am no longer actively practicing brokerage, that experience continues to inform my perspective on housing and property analysis.

Property potential

Real estate decisions often depend on more than price and location. Zoning, use, layout, and future flexibility can matter just as much.

Trusted referrals

I am happy to connect people with experienced local real estate agents, builders, and other professionals when helpful.

Past client feedback

“Avi is one of the most thoughtful and analytical people I have worked with. He gave us advice that materially improved our decision-making process, and we never felt pressured at any point.”

Accent Insights archive

Before FutureLot, I hosted Accent Insights, a real estate-focused podcast exploring housing, neighborhoods, market trends, and property decision-making in Greater Boston.

The archive is included here as part of the broader path from brokerage and local housing analysis to zoning technology and FutureLot.
